Let's ignore the fact that anime is a lot of still frames and the production value is less than a typical movie - that's roughly an hour and change of actual animation. This success prompted them to start heavily investing in anime that just was not marketable for whatever reason, expecting a stream of Dragonball level hits. Heck, I'd settle for it being on a streaming service so I could at least go through it again. Back in the day you'd get 4 episodes per VHS. US anime distributors are bad at distributing.

Monster began airing on Canada's Super Channel on 15 March , and on the Funimation Channel on 3 April on weekends at am. They did the same thing with Bleach except I think it was closer to episode
